That Pine Knob '91 show was just spectacular. The Throwin' -> Aiko transition still gives me goose bumps. It's available through the dead.net download series. The night before wasn't bad either, nor was the following show at Soldier Field. A nice summer run. Spring, summer and fall '91 tours were all pretty sweet.

Yes, although there is a marked decline in the fall through to the end of '91. That's when Hornsby's feet got itchy. He reputedly hated bothe the Boston and NYC runs of fall Tour. Can't hear it on "tape" but that's what he says. Maybe the writing was on the wall even that early. I know he felt the band was falling back into "play it safe" mode.
